Setitik Atau Sebelanga

i've lost touch with writing. forgive me but these hands do sin. lol. i told you i'm lost. or i've lost it. either way, same difference.

"to celebrate a birthday is to celebrate a year closer to the day you die."

it's eeriely logical. a pessimistic view, but it makes perfect sense. prove me otherwise and i'll start celebrating everyday of my life. because, everyday is a day closer to death.

"if you knew you were going to die at 55. would u be happy to celebrate your birthday every year, knowing that you're only a year less from your death?"

still eerie. still it makes sense.

"blowing out candles on your birthday cake is symbolic to blowing out your life."

imagine blowing out 20 candles. 20 down, 35 more to go?
i'm freaking you out aren't i? i'm freaking myself out.

although some may say what a negative view to have on adding on a year to your age, but it's not entirely ridiculous to put it in that light. to see it a different way from how people normally see it. true, you may say that a year older is a year wiser. but, does being a year older push your destiny further?
it's simple logic. you take a step forward, you get closer to your destination. birthdays are like a step forward. death is the final destination for every life form.

you wanna do the math? i suggest not.
if you're fine, happy and dandy...then enjoy life.
if you're me, chances are you're gonna think of things like this.

every year brings change and every year brings wisdom. its all just choices really. you can choose whatever you want to be. may it be happy or sad or beautiful. and you're right, its a step closer to death. but the long island tea glass is only half full. arent u excited to see what the other 35 yrs will bring?

anyway, is you want something cultural from NZ (like a kambing or a kiwi or a bumper sticker for when you get your own car hoho) or is you want a non-cultural souvenir ala the ones i got u n intan from aussie last yr?

saturday night was the best. dont fret munchkin, your bitches are here for you.

see u when i get back. eh see u at the airport besok. mwa!

pash, stop being a pessimist and be the bitch i know deep down you are - livin for today, enjoying like there's no tomorrow.

like you pointed out, life IS too short to be dwelling on menial things like what one should really feel like when blowing out candles on a birthday cake.

PASH2...

if celebrating life is so wrong and fool us to think that a day older is a step further to our end of time, we wouldnt have babies dying before they could even spend barely a whole day living in this world...

sure, life had been deceiveful for any of us...but think of those who miss out tha great thing before getting to fulfill their goal of life...

if life is so meaningless and it only exist as to draw a path towards our death, then why would we spend our night, thinking and wishing if tomorrow would bring us a better luck and rubbing off all those tiny scars from where we experience it in the past...?

so, that is why my dearesh PASH2... we witness the existance of bost PAST and FUTURE...
